Leland R. Foy Sr.

Leland R. Foy Sr., 68, of Evans City, passed away on Saturday.

Born Sept. 10, 1948, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Cleason and Anna Petrilla Foy.

Lee was a Christian. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam. He was a lifetime VFW member and a member of the Evans City Sportsman's Club.

Lee played country music on the bass guitar for a few bands. He enjoyed motorcycles, building muzzle loaders, hunting, fishing and woodworking. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Molly Foy, whom he married May 8, 1999; his children, Leland (Lori) Foy Jr. of Butler, Bryant Foy of Kittanning and Hattie (Don Swartzlander) Lattanzi of Butler; his brother, Jeffrey (John Walko) Foy of Pittsburgh; his sisters, Cathie (Paul) Farinelli of Kittanning, Jane (Jack Crawford) Shirley-Crawford of Kittanning, Teresa Kammerdiner of Kittanning, Vicki (Cliff) Miller of Templeton and Sandy (Bill) Storey of Ford City; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Foy.

FOY — Friends of Leland R. Foy Sr., who died Saturday, March 11, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kan. 66675.
