Shirley Jean Cihonski, 63, of Trinity Living Center, Grove City, and formerly a lifelong resident of Slippery Rock, passed away Thursday at UPMC Passavant hospital in Pittsburgh.

She was born July 10, 1953, in Butler to Frank Hindman and Jennie Rockwell Hindman.

Shirley was an avid supporter of the World Wildlife Federation.

She enjoyed having get-togethers, general socializing with others and spending time with her beloved dog, Georgie.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy J. Davidson, and her husband, Jim, of New Castle and Billie Kerle of Slippery Rock; two grandsons, Nick Davidson and Cody Kerle; one sister; one brother; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and a brother.

CIHONSKI — The family of Shirley Jean Cihonski, who died Thursday, March 9, 2017, will observe a private memorial service.

Arrangements are being handled by SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.
