Patricia “Pat” Longdon

Patricia “Pat” Longdon, 69, of Renfrew passed away Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Nov. 10, 1947, in Butler to the late James McConnell and Lenora Black McConnell.

Pat worked as a nursing assistant at St. Barnabas for 33 years, retiring in 2015. She was a member of Meridian Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the church choir.

She enjoyed flowers, books, choir and especially her family. Her greatest gift was caring for and loving others.

She is survived by her husband, Ivan Longdon, whom she married July 19, 1968; three sons, Scott Longdon, and his wife, Timmi, of Renfrew, Jim Longdon, and his wife, Delisa, of Renfrew, and Roy Longdon, and his wife, Jen, of Butler; one daughter, Kelley Barbati, and her husband, John, of Butler; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Marion Codispot, and her husband, Ted, of Butler; one brother, Bill McConnell, and his wife, Susan, of Winter Haven, Fla.; and number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sally Lawhead.

LONGDON — Friends of Patricia “Pat” Longdon, who died Thursday, March 9, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Meridian Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., Butler, with the Rev. Stephen M. Franklin of Meridian Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meridian Presbyterian Church, 4150 Highland Ave., Butler, PA 16001.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
