BOSTON — Thursday’s series finale between the Pirates and Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park has been canceled due to rain.

The teams will make up the game April 13 at 2:05 p.m., a scheduled off day for both teams. The Pirates will head to Boston for one game, then head to Chicago and St. Louis for their regularly scheduled road trip against the Cubs and Cardinals.

The Pirates lost the first two games of the series. Sandy Leon hit a game-winning homer in the 12th inning Wednesday night against Antonio Bastardo after Jameson Taillon pitched seven scoreless innings.

The Bucs were scheduled to play their home opener at 1:05 p.m. today against Atlanta with light snow in the forecast.
