Boy hit by car in Butler
A 7-year-old boy was taken to the hospital Wednesday night with minor injuries after being hit by a car.
Butler city police and fire units and Butler EMS were called to East Brady Street around 6:30 p.m. for a report of a child hit by a car.
The accident involved a white Honda Civic that was driving east on East Brady Street and was making a left turn on South Cliff Street.
Butler City Fire Department Capt. Ted Codispot said that the car was driven by a woman who lives in the neighborhood and was headed home.
Though emergency responders believed his injuries to be minor, he was placed on a backboard, put in a neck brace and taken to Butler Memorial Hospital as a precautionary measure, Codispot said.
“He’s just scraped up," he said.
City police were investigating the cause of the accident.
