Zane Schiebel

Zane Schiebel, 59, of Butler passed away Thursday at Sugarcreek Rest in Worthington.

Born June 19, 1957, in Butler, he was a son of the late Edward and Mary Cypher Schiebel.

He worked as a carpenter for various companies throughout his 40-year career.

He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Pittsburgh Chapter.

He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. He also was a member of the Masonic Temple, a Knights Templar.

Zane enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, camping and doing stained-glass windows.

Surviving is his wife, Lisa Hooks Schiebel, who he married May 26, 1984; three children, Brittney and Brenden Schiebel, both of Butler, and Brianna Schiebel of New Jersey; four grandchildren, Zane K. Schiebel, Jayce and Beau Caruso and Amara Fleeger; two brothers, Gary (Jeanie) Schiebel of Nebraska and Dale (Hope) Schiebel of Butler; one sister, Mary Kay (Lawrence) Neff of Butler; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Perry Schiebel; and his nephew, Paul Jenkins.

SCHIEBEL — Friends of Zane Schiebel, who died Thursday, March 2, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 821 Herman Road, Butler.
