Thompson-Miller Funeral Home in Butler, which is handling the arrangements for Cpl. James T. “Tommy” Mainhart, confirmed that the flight carrying the remains of the soldier has been delayed.

According to the funeral home, the flight from Atlanta has been delayed two hours. The soldier's remains are now expected to land in Pittsburgh around 2:30 p.m. with a military ceremony following.

The entourage will still continue the same path reported Tuesday, but will be two hours later at each location: between 3:30 to 4 p.m. in Cranberry Township and 4 to 4:30 p.m. in Evans City, before passing through Butler along Main Street to the funeral home.

James T. “Tommy” Mainhart, has been cancelled.Flight DL 1599 from Atlanta to Pittsburgh was originally delayed two hours, but has now been cancelled.The staff at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home has confirmed that the remains have been moved to DL Flight 2187, which is also being delayed but still expected to leave according to Delta's online information.The new flight is expected to depart at 3:08 p.m. from Atlanta and arrive at 4:51 p.m. in Pittsburgh.The escort from the airport and through county will proceed on an altered timeline.The updated schedule would mean the escort will pass through from 6 to 6:30 p.m. in Cranberry Township, 6:30 to 7 p.m. in Evans City, en route to the funeral home in Butler.

Update - 1:50 p.m.The Delta Flight 2187 meant to carry the remains of Cpl. James T. “Tommy” Mainhart has been delayed further.The flight is expected to land at 6:45 p.m. The procession from the airport has not been canceled and will follow the same timeline as previously described through Cranberry Township, Evans City and Butler.
