Butler man dies of injuries from crash
PITTSBURGH — The Butler man injured in a three-vehicle accident Thursday on Unionville Road in Center Township died Monday at a Pittsburgh hospital.
According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office, Robert McMahon, 62, died at 6:16 p.m. at UPMC Presbyterian from blunt force trauma to the head, neck and trunk.
State police report McMahon’s pickup was eastbound when it ran a red light at the Route 8 intersection, colliding with a southbound pickup around 8 a.m.
Witnesses saw McMahon get ejected from his vehicle.
He was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital and then flown by medical helicopter to Presbyterian.
