[naviga:h2]Bridge construction restricts traffic[/naviga:h2]

Motorists are facing lane restrictions as construction work continues on the Liberty Bridge.

The Boulevard of the Allies closed for 80 days between Grant Street and the bridge at 6 a.m. today.

Weekday lane restrictions also have resumed. Two inbound lanes and one outbound will be open from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m. and motorists will have one inbound and two outbound lanes from 2 to 7 p.m.

One lane is open in each direction from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

[naviga:h2]Infant’s death investigated[/naviga:h2]

Pittsburgh police and the Allegheny County medical examiner are investigating the death of a 7-month-old infant.

Police haven’t said whether Sunday’s death of Azaria Devaughn is considered suspicious.

The medical examiner said the baby was found unresponsive at a home in Homewood at about 4:30 a.m.

The child was pronounced dead about an hour later at a hospital.
