Donald M. Andrews
Donald M. Andrews, 57, of Valencia passed away suddenly Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Aug. 28, 1959, in Wintersville, Ohio, he was a son of Robert and Jacqueline Higgins Andrews.
Don was employed as a steelworker at AK Steel for more than 20 years.
He received a bachelor's degree in education from the State University of New York at Cortland. He also graduated from Bible college.
Don was an active member of the Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church and was a devoted member of the church choir.
He loved spending time with his family, especially partaking in extracurricular school activities with his daughter. He very much enjoyed music, particularly karaoke, basketball and trivia. He greatly valued education and continuously sought out new knowledge for himself and others.
Don is survived by his wife, Veronica Bauer Andrews; two daughters, Rachel Andrews and her fiancé, Brandon Cravener, of Kittanning and Kelly Andrews of Valencia; his granddaughter, Sophia Cravener of Kittanning; his parents, Robert and Jacqueline Higgins Andrews of Madison, Ohio; three brothers, William Andrews and his wife, Karla, of Madison, Ohio, John Andrews of Madison, Ohio, and Steven Andrews and his wife, Desiree, of Nashville, Tenn.; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Don was preceded in death by his son, Benjamin Andrews; his daughter, Tara Andrews; and his maternal grandmother, Virginia Higgins Westling.

Andrews, who died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church, 1304 E. Cruikshank Road, Butler, with the Rev. Robert J. Cedolia officiating. Burial will take place at the Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an education fund for Kelly Z.
