Paranormal confab slatedLYNDORA — The Butler Organization for Research of the Unexplained and the Center for Unexplained Events will host the 10th annual Butler Paranormal Conference on Saturday at Tanglewood Center, 10 Hansen Ave.Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $10.There will be multimedia displays, books signings, vendors, prizes and food.Speakers will be Dan Hageman with “UFOs over Butler,” Brian and Terrie Seech with “Strange Creatures of Pennsylvania,” John Ventre with “My Haunted Life,” Thomas Wertman with “Army Reserve Helicopters Encounter with the Unknown” and the Psychic Vincent Sisters Suzanne and Jean with a lecture and gallery reading.Dance music focus of trioFlute player Virginia Netchi will present “All About Dance” at the Opus I Music Society meeting April 10 in the music room at LifePointe (formerly Mars) Alliance Church, Route 228.Netchi is a Butler County Symphony Orchestra member. She will be joined by Christie Kecskemethy on violin and Gloria Caceres, cellist, as the trio presents dance music from France, England, Ireland and the United States. They will also offer brief descriptions of how dance music has evolved since the 18th century.Refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m. with the program to follow.
