Marcella Louise Evitt
Marcella Louise Evitt of Butler passed away at 1:10 a.m. Sunday at Saxony Health Center.
She was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Mount Carmel, Ill., to the late Elmer and Daisy Hill Hartley.
Marcella attended Faith Fellowship Alliance Church. She retired from Butler Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a unit clerk.
She is survived by one son, Gary C. Evitt, and his wife, Theresa, of East Butler; three grandchildren, Joshua Evitt and his wife, Missy, Gershom Evitt and his wife, Stephanie, and Abigail Cobern and her husband, David; three great-grandchildren, Raelin, Saoirse and Sophia Evitt; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Evitt, who she married July 25 1940, and who died Dec. 21, 1971; her daughter, Sandra Evitt; three brothers; and two sisters.
EVITT — Friends of Marcella Louise Evitt, who died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church, 200 Faith Way- Fared Drive, Butler.Funeral service will immediately follow at noon Thursday with the Rev. Richard Jenks of the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church officiating. A luncheon will be served at the completion of the service.
