Helen Alene Weichey

Helen Alene Weichey, 83, of Cabot went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday at ConcordiaCare.

She was born June 11, 1933, in Queens Junction, Pa., the son of the late David R. and Gertrude Knox Scott.

Helen was a member of the East Butler Presbyterian Church. She had worked at Wonday Film in her early years. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her four sons and being involved in their school activities. She also loved spending time with all of her grandchildren. Helen loved going to Eat 'n Park with her friends. She loved red birds.

Surviving are four sons, David (Mary) Weichey of Butler, Zane Weichey of Butler, Jesse (Donna) Weichey of Fenelton and Curt (Pam) Weichey of Butler; four grandchildren, Kerry, Jesse Jr., Brandon and Christopher; and five great-grandchildren, Gavin, Sara, Britney, Abigail and Nathan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Henry John Weichey; her daughter-in-law, Mary Weichey; her sister; and three brothers.

WEICHEY — Friends of Helen Alene Weichey, who died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, will be received from 4 p.m. until the service at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Rev. Mary Kitchen, her pastor, officiating.
