Helen Jean Hamilton

Helen Jean Hamilton, 86, of Allegheny Township passed away Friday while in the company of family at her daughter’s home.

Helen was born June 29, 1930, in Freeport. She was the daughter of the late Irene Smith Hildebrand and David D. Hildebrand. She was the widow of Ronald “Pud” R. Hamilton, who died in 2001.

Helen worked in housekeeping at Allegheny Valley Hospital for 32 years. She retired in 1993. She was a member of the First Church Of God Lower Burrell. Helen enjoyed fishing, traveling and taking care of her family.

Helen is survived by three daughters, Linda Stull of Gilpin Township, Peggy and Dan McNally of Markel Township, and Jane and Tom McNally, with whom she lived, of Gilpin Township; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Helen also is survived by her two sisters, Peggy Goff and Patty Fry, both of Ohio; and her brother, Jake Hildebrand of Winfield Township.

She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald D. Hamilton; her brother and sister-in-law, Sherman and Lois Hildebrand; her sister, Dorothy, and John Santi; her son-in-law, Richard Stull; two brothers-in-law, Dean Fry and Dick Goff; and her sister-in-law, Marlene Hildebrand.

HAMILTON — Family and friends of Helen Jean Hamilton, who died Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., in Freeport.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Doug Crump of the First Church of God, Lower Burrell, officiating.

Burial will be at the Brookland Cemetery, Allegheny Township.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of God, 273 Chester Drive, Lower Burrell, PA 15068.
