Della M. Harris

Della M. Harris, 83, of Grove City passed away Sunday at the Trinity Living Center.

Della was born May 4, 1933, in rural West Virginia to the late Harden and Melinda Thomas White.

She was one of 11 children, having nine brothers. She married her loving husband, Thomas K. Harris Sr. on Aug. 17, 1952; he preceded her in death Feb. 6, 2010.

Della loved to garden and to have flowers around her home. She enjoyed sitting on her porch to watch birds and enjoy the nice weather.

Della loved people and loved to have picnics at her home and could not wait for summer to have her beloved friends and family over for a picnic.

Della is survived by five children, Judy Rodemyer and her husband, Mark, of Grove City, Nancy Simpson of McKean, Thomas Harris Jr. and his wife, Cathy, of Mercer, Cindy Harris and her companion, Earl Arnette, of Rupert, W.Va., and Rob Harris of Grove City; seven grandchildren, Mark, Matt, R.J., Rachelle, Riley, D.J. and Chris; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Kenny and Clyde White of West Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Della was preceded in death by her son, David Harris; seven brothers; and one infant sister, Bella.

HARRIS — The family of Della M. Harris, who died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, will have a celebration of life later at Della’s Home, where family and friends will be invited to a picnic in her memory.

Memorials may be made in Della’s name to the charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville.
