Sisters Get in the Act
CRANBERRY TWP — When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the police are sure she won’t be a found: a convent!
Based on the 1992 film, “Sister Act” is playing the Comtra Theatre, Route 19, through March 18.
Disguised as a nun, Deloris finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her dancing and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church but, in doing so, blows her cover.
The show features Allyson Hood, Jenni Loeffler, Emma Campbell, Tiffany Belculfine, Sierra Hayes, Susana Garcia Barragan, Dawn Morelli, Terri Beaumont, Carolyn Cosco, Janis Sylves and Kimberly Salancy.
“Sister Act” goes on stage at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Tickets are $15 and available at comtratheatre.org. Call 724-591-8727 for more information.
