The Old Stone House will host “Homebrewed History: German Beer and the Purity Law of 1516” from 2 to 4 p.m. March 25. Demonstrations of the brewing process and light hors d’oeuvres will be provided. The Old Stone House is at the intersection of Routes 8, 173 and 528 in Brady Township. Tickets are $25 and available by calling 724-738-4964.

PITTSBURGH

Children’s Museum, Allegheny Square, will open “Measurement Rules” on Saturday and continue it through May 7. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is $16 for adults and $14 for children 2 to 18 and senior citizens. Visit www.pittsburghkids.org.

Carnegie Science Center, North Side, hosts a St. Patrick’s Day Sky Watch on March 18 and Astronomy Weekend March 25-26. Admission is $18.95 for adults and $11.95 for children 3 to 12. Carnegie Museum of Natural History, 4400 Forbes Ave. is showing “Amazing Butterflies” through April 23. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through Saturdays with extended hours until 8 p.m. Thursdays and from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.
