Velma G. Santypal
Velma G. Santypal, 69, of Evans City passed away Monday at St. John's Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born Nov. 22, 1947, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Ina J. Burr Santypal.
Velma was a 1965 graduate of Seneca Valley High School. She worked as a beautician for Martha's Beauty Salon in Butler and as a caregiver for many years.
Velma was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Connoquenessing, where she also was a Sunday school teacher and played the organ. She played the organ for Connoquenessing Methodist Church and St. Paul's United Church of Christ, as well. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister, Darlene Clark Neiber; her sisters-in-law, Diane Ragan and Shirley Santypal; four nieces; two nephews; two great-nieces; and eight great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Velma was preceded in death by her brother, John Santypal; her sister, Mary Ann Reinhart; and brother-in-law, Jacob Reinhart.

Santypal, who died Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church, 100 Main St., Connoquenessing.A funeral ceremony will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev. Gary Brown, pastor, and the Rev. John Hoogerbrugge, pastor, officiating.Velma will be laid to rest at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E.
