Jerry D. Logan

Jerry D. Logan, 57, of Prospect passed away Monday at VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler following a lingering illness.

He was born Aug. 13, 1959, in Charleston, S.C., to the late Daniel H. and Dorothy G. Combs Logan.

Jerry was married to Missy Link Logan, who survives.

He was a graduate of Moniteau High School and began an over 30-year career as a truck driver. He loved tools and working on cars. He enjoyed spending time with his dog “Nuggie.” His favorite candy was Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

In addition to his wife, Missy, he is survived by one daughter, Tiffany Evans of Butler; three sons, Daniel E. Logan of North Washington, Tyler Hughes of Eau Claire and Herbert Evans of North Washington; one granddaughter, Angela Logan; four sisters, Rita G. Miller of Harrisville, Jan L. Deal of Hilliards, Jean A. Cubbage of North Washington and Pamela Logan of Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers-in-law, James Hightower and William “Zane” Southwell; his mother-in-law, Selva Link of Eau Claire; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty C. Hightower and Barbara S. Southwell; and one brother-in-law, William Cubbage.

LOGAN — Friends of Jerry D. Logan, who died Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 S. Washington St., Eau Claire.A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
