Charles E. Riesmeyer

Charles E. Riesmeyer, 70, of Lackawanna, N.Y., formerly of Evans City, died Thursday morning at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y.

Born April 24, 1946, in Evans City, he was the son of the late Alfred and Regina Murray Riesmeyer.

He had been a truck driver and later the recycling supervisor for Waste Management in New York.

Charles had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife, Sarah Riesmeyer; his daughter, Shelley (Thomas) Wehr of Evans City; his son, Ronald (Janice) Riesmeyer of Chicora; his grandchildren, Nelson and Joshua; his stepchildren, James, Julie and Jolene; his stepgrandchildren, James, Lindsay and Jessica; four sisters, Geraldine Albert of Pittsburgh, Phoebe Riesmeyer in Florida, Frances (Mike) Manzur of Sewickley and Patricia (Roger) Kies of Beaver; three brothers, John (Dorothy) Riesmeyer of Valencia, Michael (Carol) Riesmeyer of Georgia and Richard (Lisa) Riesmeyer of South Carolina; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred and Daniel Riesmeyer.

RIESMEYER — Friends of Charles E. Riesmeyer, who died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Wednesday at St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, with the Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.
