Boiler malfunction causes an exterior vent to catch fire
BUFFALO TWP — A boiler malfunction caused an exterior vent at an Ekastown Road home to catch fire this morning.
Lt. Tyler Hill of the Sarver Volunteer Fire Company said the damage at 638 Ekastown Road was minimal.
Hill said the interior of the home of Larry Fraysier was not damaged.
“Just a scent of smoke,” he said.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
Roughly 20 firefighters responded to the 7:32 a.m. 911 call. The Buffalo Township and Saxonburg volunteer fire departments assisted Sarver.
