Barbara J. Lamp

Barbara J. Lamp, 73, of Lake City, Pa., formerly of Renfrew, passed away Saturday at home.

Born March 1, 1943, in Weirton, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late William Barney Smith and Mildred Pauline Littleton Smith.

She was a graduate of Butler High School, Class of 1962. On July 26, 1965, she married Ronald D. Lamp, and they resided in Weirton, W.Va., where they raised their family. Barbara spent many years raising Yorkshire Terriers and loved listening to Elvis Presley music. After moving to Lake City, Pa., she was blessed with six grandchildren, who were the lights of her life.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Ronald D. Lamp of Lake City, Pa.; one son, Scott Lamp, and his wife, Rene, of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one daughter, Michelle Smelscer, and her husband, Mark, of Evans City; one brother, James R. Smith of Renfrew; two grandsons, Tristan Lamp of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Jack Smelscer of Evans City; four granddaughters, Autumn Lamp of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Hannah Smelscer, Lauren Smelscer and Megan Smelscer, all of Evans City; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Zelma Smith and Freda Drum; and one brother, John Smith.

LAMP — Following the wishes of Barbara J. Lamp, who died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, there will be no viewing or visitation.

Private services will be conducted at the family’s convenience.

The Askins Cremation Funeral Services, Erie, Pa., is assisting the family with arrangements.
