Reynolds collects 100th home win

SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University men's basketball coach Kevin Reynolds notched his 100th career home win as The Rock edged Gannon 71-67 Saturday afternoon.

Reynolds is now 100-27 at home since taking over the program in 2008.

SRU (13-13, 9-11) is still in fifth place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West standings, one game behind Mercyhurst for fourth.

The Rock can clinch a playoff berth Saturday with a California (Pa.) University loss to Clarion. SRU can also sew up a playoff spot with a win in either of its games next week (at Edinboro Wednesday and at Pitt-Johnstown Saturday) or a loss by Cal in either of its games.

Merdic Green led SRU with 16 points.
