Audrey M. Carter
Audrey M. Carter, 90, of Concordia at Cabot, formerly of Cranberry Township, passed away Sunday.
She was born March 25, 1926, in Eastington, England, the daughter of the late Charlie and Dorothy (Webb) Stevens.
She was the beloved wife of the late Warren C. Carter; the loving mother of Marion “Marnie” (James) Beatty and the late Pamela Carter Myers; and the sister of Bette (Brian) Woosey.
Audrey, known as Granny, also is survived by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Audrey was active on the Butler County Agency on Aging Board and was instrumental in bringing Rolling Road Regency Apartments to Cranberry Township.
Audrey served in the British military during World War II, where she met her future husband, Warren, a U.S. GI. She worked for Max Azens in Pittsburgh and Maxines in the North Hills.
After retiring, most days were spent reading, doing crosswords, watching British TV and playing cards with friends.

Carter, who died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, will be at 10 a.m. Feb. 4 at First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, Route 8 at 5825 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, with the Rev.
