Donovan “Donnie” U. Baynes

Donovan “Donnie” U. Baynes, 17, of Penn Hills passed away unexpectedly Saturday.

He was the beloved son of David Baynes and Dana DiNatale; the brother of David Baynes; and the grandson of Blaise DiNatale, Anna Mae (Jim) Henderson and the late Donald and Ruth Ann Baynes.

Donovan is survived by his many aunts, uncles and friends; his best friend, A.J. DiNatale; and his adored girlfriend, Alexis Rhone.

Donovan's interest in sports began at a young age. He was a defensive end on the football team and wrestled for Penn Hills High School. He was an amazing young man and strong student with a bright future as he was currently being recruited by colleges.

Donovan was a great kid with a big heart who will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him and loved him.

BAYNES — Friends of Donovan “Donnie” U. Baynes, who died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Soxman Funeral Homes, Roth Chapel, 7450 Saltsburg Road at Universal Road, Penn Hills, Pa.A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Shiloh Community Baptist Church, 6940 Frankstown Ave., Homewood, Pa. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Interment will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery.Donations may be made to www.gofundme.com/donovan-baynes-funeral-memorial.
