Donald C. Sutch

Donald C. Sutch, 84, of Zelienople passed away peacefully Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice, surrounded by family.

Born Jan. 18, 1932, Donald was the son of the late Jane and Glenn Thomas.

He was predeceased by his wife, Beverly Steffler; and his sons, Donny and Jay.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Lisa; his grandsons, Alex, 16, and Eric, 14; his aunt, Lena Wagner; and various cousins.

Donald was a self-employed real estate investor and landlord.

He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during Korea and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. Donald was a member of the American Legion Post 474 in Zelienople, as well as the Hungarian Beneficial Society.

As an avid sports fan, he enjoyed football, baseball and golf. He was proud of getting a hole-in-one in 1978. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandsons.

SUTCH — Family and friends of Donald C. Sutch, who died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with services to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Zelienople Public Library, which was a particular favorite of his wife, at 227 S. High St., Zelienople, PA 16063.
