Sharon L. Buck

Sharon L. Buck, 60, of Middlesex Township, died Saturday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

Born July 20, 1956, in Butler, she was the daughter of Betty Frances Barker Buck and the late Richard Thomas Buck.

She was a member of the Life Point Alliance Mars Campus and was active in working with children’s ministries at the church.

Sharon graduated from Mars High School in 1975 and then from Philadelphia College of Bible, in 1979. She loved working with special needs individuals, having worked for 37 years, first for the Children’s Rehabilitation Center, then Allegheny Valley Schools, as a programmer. Sharon was a loving and caring person.

Surviving are her mother of Mars; and her sister, Linda Jean Buck, of Middlesex Township.

BUCK — Friends of Sharon L. Buck, who died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, will be received from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Lawther, pastor of the Life Point Alliance Mars Campus, officiating. Burial will be at the Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Cheswick.

Memorials may be made to the Allegheny Valley School, Slippery Rock Campus, 1996 Ewing Mill Rd. Coraopolis, PA 15108, or to the Life Point Alliance Mars Campus.
