Naomi B. Brown
Naomi B. Brown, 88, of New Castle passed away Tuesday at the Evergreen Nursing Center.
She was the widow of John S. Brown, who died April 2, 1978.
In addition to her husband and parents, Naomi was preceded in death by three brothers, Aubrey Jr., Robert and Harold; and four sisters, Inez Yellock, Maggie Phenola, Joan and Phyllis Taylor.
Naomi will be sadly missed by two sons, John E. Brown of Zelienople and Richard L. (Barbara) Brown of New Castle; one daughter, Debbra L. (James) Byers of New Castle; three brothers, Raymond, Donald and Phillip (Linda) Taylor; seven sisters, Eleanor Richardson, Evelyn (Paul) Ward, Thelma Franklin, Juanita (Bill) Malone, Jean (Leroy) Shepherd, Margaret Johnson and Shirley (Walter) Shaw; four grandchildren, Alia N. (James) McNeil of Harrisburg, Richard L. (Leah) Brown II, Ayanna J. Byers of Bowling Green, Ohio, and Araycia L. Byers, of New Castle; four great-grandchildren, Daya M. and Joffre C. McNeil of Harrisburg, and Alexis McVay and Niko L. Brown of New Castle; and godchildren, Aubrey Ward and Joy Lewis Ellis.
BROWN — Visitation for Naomi B. Brown, who died Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at St. Luke AME Zion Church, 603 Harbor St., New Castle. The home-going celebration will be at 4 p.m. Interment will be at the Graceland Cemetery.Services are entrusted to the Charlotte A. Sheffield Funeral Home, 454 Chestnut St., New Castle.
