Timothy M. Neely

Timothy M. Neely, 69, of Butler passed away Monday at the VA Butler Healthcare.

Born Sept. 26, 1947, in Butler, he was the son of the late Elmer “Fred” Neely and Beatrice Clark.

Tim proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam from 1967 to 1969 as part of the 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). He worked 39 years for CSX railroad.

He loved working out and could always be found exercising at the YMCA. Tim enjoyed running and participated in numerous 10k marathons. He was a devoted father and grandfather who will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Timothy D. (Maribel) Neely of Hagerstown, Md., and Emily S. (Joseph) Yzquierdo of Cranberry Township; and his grandchildren, Maya and Arya Neely.

NEELY — The family of Timothy M. Neely, who died Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, will welcome friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A funeral ceremony will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, with the Rev. Reid Moon, officiating. Military honors will follow. Everyone is asked to please meet at the cemetery.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
