Theresa Anna Thomas
Theresa Anna Thomas, 93, of Cabot passed away Sunday.
Born Feb. 6, 1923, in Grieselstein, Austria, she was the daughter of John Thomas and Theresa Gumhold Thomas.
She worked as a secretary for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot, where she was a Christian Mother, the Austrian-American Cultural Society of Pittsburgh and Historic Harmony. She enjoyed crafts, sewing and reading.
Theresa collected teddy bears for about 25 years and enjoyed traveling stateside and overseas.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Rose Mary Thomas; and two brothers, John Thomas and Joseph Thomas.
THOMAS — Friends of Theresa Anna Thomas, who died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Pattock, OFM Cap., officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Savior Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Michigan Ave., N.E., Washington, D.C. 20017, or St. Joseph Church, 315 Stoney Hollow Road, Cabot, PA 16023.
