Scot Thomas Cameron, 66, of Saxonburg passed away at home Friday surrounded by his loving family and devoted friends after a battle with lung cancer.

Scot was born Aug. 14, 1950, in Worcester, Mass., to Joseph and Mary Mele Cameron and was one of six children.

Scot was passionate about life. His varied interests included cooking, reading, writing, traveling, playing with their cats, working in the yard, golfing and staying fit. But he was most passionate about spending time with friends. His generosity of spirit made him a treasured friend to many.

Scot graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in biochemistry. He spent most of his career as a highly successful real estate agent with Howard Hannah Real Estate in Butler. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cabot.

Scot leaves his longtime partner, Cindy Cameron; his mother, Mary Mele Cameron of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; his siblings, Joe and Bill Cameron of Prescott Valley, Vickie (Jim) Nipper of Dewey, Ariz., Pat (Brian) McGrath of Worcester, Mass., and Dorothea (Zohar) M'Kadmi of Douglasville, Ga.

He also leaves numerous beloved nieces and nephews and “adopted” neighbor children.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Cameron.
