A two-vehicle collision on Route 228 in Adams Township has traffic at a near standstill.

A Buick Enclave crashed into the back of a Chevrolet Cobalt around 10:30 a.m. in the 960 block of Route 228.

Officials said no one is expected to be transported via ambulance.

"Traffic had stopped and the one vehicle didn't realize the other had stopped in front of them," said Bill Hayes, Fire Chief for the Adams Area Fire District.

Traffic is alternating in one lane while the vehicles are towed.

EMS and police are also on hand to assist.
