Hannah Mary Creighton

Hannah Mary Creighton, 98, formerly of Penn, Pa., and Butler County, died Wednesday in Royersford, Pa., where she had been living.

Born Aug. 9, 1918, in Sewickley, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Clarence and Nora Blanch McKinney Beeler.

She and her late husband, the Rev. Albert William Creighton, served in ministry together in various Free Methodist and Nazarene churches all around Western Pennsylvania.

Hannah was a cook for many summers at the Free Methodist Camp in Apollo and also sold delicious baked goods from her own kitchen. She was a prayer warrior and prayed daily for her family, including her loving children, Donna Grace Murphy, Clarence William (the late Gulsen) Creighton and Cindy Joy Lee. She enjoyed loving and spending time with her 15 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 42 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, she was preceded in death by one son, James Arthur Creighton; one daughter, Betty Lou Webb; three grandsons, Kenny and Ray Claycomb and James Creighton; and five siblings.

CREIGHTON — Friends of Hannah Mary Creighton, who died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017, will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lindsay-Jobe Funeral Home, 3343 Route 130, Harrison City.Interment will follow at Brush Creek Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org.Online condolences can be given at www.Lindsay-JobeFuneralHome.com.
