Anthony V. Cosco

Anthony V. Cosco, 91, of Greensburg died Sunday at St. Anne's Home.

He was born Feb. 14, 1925, in Jeannette, Pa., a son of the late Thomas and Theresa Fragili Cosco.

Before his retirement, he was a senior manager for HSBC in Butler and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh and was a member of the American Legion Post 344, the VFW Post 8240 and the Ascension Church, all of Jeannette, Pa.

Anthony was an avid golfer and bowler and played drums for the Jeannette Centennial Band and Al Galati Band.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Wilberta Dudley Cosco; his second wife, Bernice Pink Blinky-Cosco; one brother, Adolph J. Cosco; and two sisters, Anna Cosco and Mary Cosco Blasco.

He is survived by his children, Valerie Cosco of Greensburg Mark Cosco and his wife, Carolyn, of Cranberry Township and Stephanie Sciore and her husband, Scott, of Greenville, S.C.; two grandchildren, Rebekah Regan and her husband, John, and Matthew Cosco; and numerous nieces and nephews.

COSCO — Friends of Anthony V. Cosco, who died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Pa.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Lisik officiating. Interment with military rites accorded by the Jeannette Combined Veterans will follow at the Brush Creek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Excela Health Hospice, 134 Industrial Park Road, Suite 1600, Greensburg, PA 15601.
