Richard Rome Rudolph

Richard Rome Rudolph, 52, of Mars, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Sunday.

From the moment Rick came into this world, he began touching hearts in a profound way. He leaves behind a legacy of optimism, courage, compassion and perseverance. All who knew him will remember his kind heart, contagious laughter and joyful attitude in the face of constant adversity. He was a shining light and will be missed beyond words.

Rick was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Rome and Kathleen Rudolph.

He is survived by his sisters, Michele Rudolph (Marc Vandenhoeck), Jeannine Rudolph (Marc Chandler), Jennifer Rudolph (Brandon Boyle) and Jacqueline (Geoffrey) Smathers; and eight nieces and nephews, Dylan and Ross Vandenhoeck, Nathan Chandler, Keelan and Sullivan Boyle, and Rome, Olivia and Lindsey Smathers. He also leaves behind his devoted aunt, Joan Strueber, and many other beloved relations.

RUDOLPH — Friends and family of Richard Rome Rudolph, who died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Devlin Funeral Home of Cranberry 2678 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mother of Divine Providence Chapel, 9000 Babcock Blvd., Allison Park, next to La Roche College.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Spina Bifida Association of Western PA or LaRoche College.
