History center free for youths during ‘Play 60’PITTSBURGH — Heinz History Center will host the fifth annual NFL Play 60 Training Camp from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.Parents and children can enjoy five floors of football-related activities.Admission is free for children 17 and younger (courtesy of Dick’s Sporting Goods), $16 for adults, and $14 for senior citizens. Fashion exhibit displayed at CarnegiePITTSBURGH — “Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion” will open Feb. 4 at the Carnegie Museum of Art, 4400 Forbes Ave.The Dutch-born fashion designer offers meticulous handcraft, inventive technological ideas, and a futuristic aesthetic.The exhibit, which presents 15 of her collections, will continue through May 1. Associated workshops and activities are planned.Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through Saturdays with extended hours until 8 p.m. Thursdays, and from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Washington hikes planned at JenningsBRADY TWP — Cherry Pie and Washington’s Trail 1753 Hikes are planned for 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 25 at Jennings Environmental Education Center at the intersection of Routes 8, 173 and 528.History hikes start every half-hour from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Guided nature walks start at 9 and 11 a.m. and at 1 p.m. A North Country Trail 7-mile hike starts at 9 a.m. under the Route 528 bridge with optional return shuttles.Registration is necessary at http://events.dcnr.pa.gov/jennings_environmental_education_center/calendar/month/2017/2.
