1970s' star Ford Coley will perform at SRU
SLIPPERY ROCK — John Ford Coley will perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 3 in Slippery Rock University’s University Union.
As half of the Grammy-nominated duo England Dan and John Ford Coley, the singer had six Top 40 singles between 1976 and 1979.
Coley will play classic hits and new music in a solo show.
He has multiple double platinum and gold records to his credit, with songs like “I’d Really Love to See You Tonight,” “Sad to Belong,” “Part of Me, Part of You” and “Love Is the Answer.”
Classically trained on piano and an avid guitarist, Coley has also produced other artists, working across genres with musicians such as Eddie Money, Vince Gill, Tom Wurth and Lynn Bryant.
Tickets for the concert, with café-style seating around tables, are $20 for adults; $18 for senior citizens; $16 for youths age 17 and younger; and $8 for SRU students.
