Drug Task Force arrests two women

The Butler County Drug Task Force got a two-for-one deal when it busted a suspected heroin dealer Wednesday night at her home in Butler.

Ginger T. Kilroy, 37, the target of the drug bust, was at the house on North Elm Street. Officers found her with more than six dozen stamps bags of suspected heroin.

She also was carrying a wad of money and Suboxone strips.

But Kilroy was not alone. With her, it turned out, was Amanda L. White, 35, of Butler, who the task force was looking for in connection with an unrelated heroin trafficking investigation.

“We didn’t know (White) would be there,” admitted county Detective Tim Fennell, who heads the task force.

County narcotics officers and Butler police arrested both women on felony and other drug charges. They are being held in the Butler County Prison.

Authorities said Kilroy for the past month and a half has been under investigation for allegedly selling heroin out of the home, where she is believed to be the sole tenant of a second-floor apartment.

“We did at least two controlled (drug) buys there,” Fennell said.

District Judge Dave Kovach on Wednesday signed a search warrant for the home. Officers moved in shortly before 10 p.m.

Inside, they caught Kilroy holding 21 stamp bags of suspected heroin and $1,185, Fennell said. An additional 54 bags of suspected heroin were found in the home.

The search also turned up 10 Suboxone strips for which she did not have a prescription. Suboxone is a narcotic-based drug prescribed to treat addiction to heroin and powerful painkillers such as oxycodone.

Officers also seized a digital scale and six cell phones from the home.

Kilroy was arrested, So was White, who happened to be at the apartment,

The task force had been hunting White since Jan. 10 when it obtained an arrest warrant for her.

The warrant followed an investigation last year during which White on Oct. 6 allegedly sold a police informant 10 stamp bags of heroin and one-half gram of crack. The $190 deal, documents said, occurred on Wagner Avenue in Butler.

Kilroy was arraigned this morning on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, two counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

She is in the county prison on $100,000 bail

White was arraigned on two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

She is in the county prison on $15,000 bail.
