Marguerite Beachem Reeder
Marguerite Beachem Reeder, a longtime resident of Butler County, died Tuesday in Manassas, Va., following a brief illness.
Marguerite was born Feb. 27, 1933, in Euclid, Pa., to Harry Kenneth and Emma Gardner Beachem. In 1950, she married L. Paul Reeder, who died in 2008.
Marguerite was one of five children, and she was preceded in her death by her siblings, Kenneth Beachem, Doris Baird, Tim Beachem and Irene Cipolla.
Marguerite was the mother of five children. Three of her children preceded her in death, Pamela Rockhill, Michael Reeder and Mark Reeder. She is survived by her son, Paul Reeder of Prospect, and her daughter, Laura Welsh of Manassas. Marguerite also is survived by nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Marguerite was a member of the First English Lutheran Church in Butler. She enjoyed gardening, baking and spending time with her family.
REEDER — Visitation for Marguerite Beachem Reeder, who died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the William F. young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.Visitation also will be conducted from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kimberly VanDriel officiating.
