Leroy M. Rodgers II
Leroy M. Rodgers II, 64, of Butler passed away Saturday at his home.
Born July 1, 1952, in Butler, he was a son of the late Leroy M. and Lenore M. Cherry Rodgers.
He was a retired master sergeant who served for 30 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm.
Leroy was a life member of VFW Post 249 in Butler where he was a past commander. He also was a member of American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora. He was an avid golfer.
He was a member of Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Leroy is survived by one brother, John Rodgers, and his wife, Rose, of Butler; one niece, Dr. April Rodgers-Reddig, and her husband, Dr. Michael Reddig, of Ephrata, Pa.; one great-niece, Paige Reddig, of Ephrata, Pa.; three aunts, Lorraine Laconi, Leona Angert and her husband, Paul, and Bernice Kuzio, all of Butler; one uncle, Victor Cherry, and his wife, Georgia, of Butler; and a number of cousins.

Rodgers II, who died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church.
