Paul J. Furey Sr.
Paul J. Furey Sr., 76, of Fenelton passed away unexpectedly Saturday at his home.
Born June 8, 1940, in Fenelton, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Katherine Musthaf Furey.
Paul owned and operated Furey's Market in Fenelton, along with his wife, for 37 years.
He was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville, Pa.
His life was his family; he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great granddaughters.
Surviving is his wife, MaryJane Daughtery Furey, who he married May 26, 1965; three daughters, Brenda (Gary) Black of Butler, Cathy Furey of Kittanning and Cindy (Richard) Black of Fenelton; one son, Paul J. (Amy) Furey Jr. of Fenelton; eight grandchildren, Amanda (Shawn) O'Leary, Julie (Chad) Cochran, Brittney (Ray) Emery, Sarah (Randy) Morrow, Richard Black Jr., Courtney Barnhart, Stephen Barnhart and Emily Black; two great-granddaughters, Malyia Emery and Brianna O'Leary; four sisters, Carol Osche, Sandy (David) Lewis, Patricia (Herman) Rounce and Lois (Dave) Strang, all of Fenelton; two brothers, Lawrence R. (Rachel) Furey Jr. and William (Theresa) Furey, both of Fenelton; and numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters.
FUREY — Friends of Paul J. Furey Sr., who died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Roman Catholic Church, 668 Clearfield Road, Fenelton. The Rev.
