John C. Leasher Jr.

John C. Leasher Jr., 65, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon at his home in Somerville, Ala., surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Leasher was preceded in death by his father, John C. Leasher Sr.

Left to cherish his precious memory are his mother, Doris Kelly of Harmony; his loving wife, Susan Edmunds Leasher of Somerville, Ala.; two daughters, Terri Jo (Greg) Edge and Nicole (Tommy) Rudolph, both of Fayetteville, N.C.; one son, Jeremy (Kelly) Leasher of Owens Cross Roads; three brothers, Robert (Danene) Leasher of Zelienople, William (Irene) Leasher of California and Barry Leasher of Harmony; one sister, Susan Leasher of Zelienople; one stepson, Patrick (Gina May) Bryan of Woodville, Ala.; one stepdaughter, Nichole (Paul) Pytlik of Ft. Lee, Va.; eight grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.

John was born in Ellwood City, Pa., and was a proud U.S. Army veteran of 27 years. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion Post 237 for the past 18 years.

“Butch,” as a lot of his friends called him, was a fun-loving “hoot” who liked to go four wheeling and ziplining. John Leasher was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

LEASHER — You may visit with the family of John Leasher, who died Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2016, from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Valhalla Funeral Home.A funeral service, conducted by the Rev. Lon Ostrzycki of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home's chapel.
