Paul Olenic
Paul Olenic, 93, of Butler, died Tuesday morning at his home.
Born April 5, 1923, in Butler, he was a son of the late John Olenic and Tille Ewanishek Olenic.
Paul was a retired welder from the Armco Steel Plant in Butler following 42 years. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Lyndora and the American Legion Post 778. He enjoyed traveling and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan.
A veteran of World War II, Paul served in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his brothers and sisters, Alex Olenic of Virginia, John Olenic, Ann Yannotty, Julia Walek, Helen Olenic and George Olenic, all of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael, Martin and Andrew Olenic.
OLENIC — Friends of Paul Olenic, who died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, with a parastas service beginning at 6 p.m.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 21 Evergreen Road, Lyndora.
