Alvin “Ike” E. Fredley
Alvin “Ike” E. Fredley, 80, of Buffalo Township passed away Tuesday.
He was born Sept. 11, 1936, in West Deer Township, the son of the late James A. and Grace A. Ekas Fredley.
Ike has lived most of his life in Buffalo Township and was a district crew leader for Equitable Gas Co., Pittsburgh, for 36 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Buffalo Township and a 1954 graduate of West Deer High School.
Ike enjoyed traveling, dancing and golfing, and he especially enjoyed his family.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Deloris M. Harvey Fredley; his children, Marlene D. (Gerald) Bundy of Winfield Township, Robert A. Fredley of Ebensburg, Dale E. (Susan) Fredley of Mars, Amy Sue Fredley Shuffler of Buffalo Township and David C. (Sherry A.) Fredley of Buffalo Township; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Loyal W. (Theda) Fredley of West Deer Township.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, J. Clair Fredley.
FREDLEY — Visitation for Alvin “Ike” E. Fredley, who died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Duster Funeral Home, 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum.Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Buffalo Presbyterian Church in Buffalo Township with the Rev. Jean E. Smith officiating.
