Kison L. Iron Cloud

Kison L. Iron Cloud, 34, of Butler died Friday at his home.

Born Jan. 25, 1982, in Rapid City, S.D., he was the son of Alvin L. and Gloria J. (Brothers) Iron Cloud.

Kison was a graduate of Butler High School, where he played baseball and football. He was employed by Cyphertech as an HVAC mechanic in the San Diego area before recently returning to Butler.

Kison loved writing and producing techno dance music. He was an artist who enjoyed painting portraits and jewelry-making. His creative side made him excellent at tailoring, making alterations and sewing. He was a member of the Foothills Christian Church in the San Diego area. Kison was a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe in Pine Ridge, S.D. He was involved with Traditional Dance in Native Pow Wows, and he was a descendant of Chief Iron Cloud.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Iron Cloud of San Diego; his mother Gloria Brothers of Butler; his father, Alvin Iron Cloud of Porcupine, S.D.; and two sons.

Kison also is survived by five sisters, Tashina Iron Cloud, Marcella Mendoza, Mechelle Crazy Thunder, Wopilah Iron Cloud and Oloah Iron Cloud; six brothers, Alvin “Bugg” Iron Cloud, Everette Iron Cloud, Osu Iron Cloud, Milton Cyphert, Jason Cyphert and Craig Cyphert; his grandmother, Marcella Iron Cloud; and numerous cousins, uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Cleveland Iron Cloud; his grandparents, Henry and Velma Brothers; and a nephew, Alvin Iron Cloud.

IRON CLOUD — Friends of Kison L. Iron Cloud, who passed away Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 707 Kelly's Way, East Brady.Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Ben Oesterling, pastor of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Prospect.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kison's name to Mt.
