Jean Viola Bosco
Jean Viola Bosco, 87, of Lancaster Township passed away on Saturday in the comfort of her home.
Born April 18, 1929, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Viola (Taylor) Sommers.
Jean was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her bachelor's degree in education. She taught English at Oliver High School. Jean enjoyed antiquing and worked at an antique store in Wurtemburg, Germany for several years. She also enjoyed giving tours at the Harmony Museum. Above all, she was a loving wife and mother who was devoted to her family and raising her children.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lisa B. (Dr. James, DDS) Smyers of Economy and Leah B. Bosco of Harmony.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Louis J. Bosco, who she married on June 30, 1953, and who passed away on Jan. 1, 2011.
