Marina A. Monday
Marina A. Monday, 86, of Butler, passed away Thursday at VNA Inpatient Hospice after a lingering illness.
Born in Butler on Jan. 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Arturo and Emilia Gori Pasquinelli.
Marina was a woman completely devoted to her husband, her family and her home. She was a woman of strength, compassion, humor, unconditional love and selflessness.
For 30 years, Wednesday night was family dinner night, which she prepared for children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. It was always a night of abundant food, boisterous conversation and laughter. Always laughter.
She was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.
Marina was employed as a bookkeeper at Unicorn Card and Gifts.
She is survived by one son, Henry Monday, Jr. and his wife, Lisa, of Fenelton; and two daughters, Nancy Monday Yates and her husband, Kevin, of Butler and Toni Lee Price and her husband, Roger, of Franklin Park.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Monday, Sr., who passed away March 2, 2008; two sisters, Norma Milheim Rider and Leda Petrigni; and one brother, Henry Pasquinelli.
MONDAY — Friends of Marina A. Monday, who died Thursday Nov., 24, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. from Saint Michael the Archangel R.C. Church.Burial will take place in Saint Michael's Cemetery.
