George Edward Lechner Jr.

George Edward Lechner Jr., 71, of Portersville passed away early Tuesday morning at Caprice Healthcare Center in North Lima, Ohio.

Born Feb. 13, 1945, in Portersville, he was the son of the late George E. and Grace Elizabeth Jones Lechner Sr.

He was a retired truck driver.

George served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and gardening.

George is survived by his loving wife, Judith Ann Locke Lechner, whom he married Aug. 14, 1971; three sons, Bruce (Teresa) Locke, Greg (Victoria) Lechner and James (Christina) Lechner; seven grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

LECHNER — Visitation for George Edward Lechner Jr., who died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the EDWARD L. RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME, 387 Main St., Prospect.
