James “Hooker” F. Hook
James “Hooker” F. Hook, 64, of East Butler passed away Monday at his home.
Born June 10, 1952, in Butler, he was the son of the late John M. Hook Sr. and Martha J. Gresock Hook.
Jim was employed for 36 years as a powder core painter at Magnetics.
He was a member of Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, where he was an usher for 25 years before joining the Saint Paul Choir. He also was a member of the East Butler Volunteer Fire Department, the Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club, the Buffalo Valley Sportsmen's Club, the Sons of the American Legion and the Legion of Mary.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Rasely Hook, who he married May 7, 2002; one son, Jamie F. Hook of Butler; one daughter, Nikki Watz of Peoria, Ariz.; three sisters, Mariellen Olexsak of Evans City, Judy Grossman and her husband, Marvin, of Prospect and Martha McClure of Butler; three granddaughters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John M. Hook Jr.; and one brother-in-law, Tim Olexsak.

Hook, who died Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery.Members of Saint Paul Catholic Women and Christian Mothers will meet at 9:35 a.m. Thursday at the church to recite the rosary.The family requests memorial donations to Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N.
