Rousi “Rose” Snyder
Rousi “Rose” Snyder, 94, of Butler passed away Tuesday afternoon at Bendview Personal Care Home in Butler while under hospice care.
Born Oct. 13, 1922, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Emro M. and Katherine A. Martinkovich Snyder.
During World War II, she worked in Ambridge, Pa., as a tack welder for the war effort.
She enjoyed spending many years in Crestview, Fla., sewing, reading, visiting with her son, John, and his family and going out for dinner.
She is survived by her children, John “Duke” Snyder and his wife, Fonda, of Butler, Rosie Snyder of Newport, Wash., and Michael Snyder of Mount Vernon, Wash.; her grandchildren, Dana R. Snyder and David J. Snyder; and two great-grandchildren, John Robert Snyder and Adeline Willumson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Snyder; her brothers, Stephen Snyder and Frank Snyder; and her sister, Mildred Snyder Mekruit.
SNYDER — Family and friends of Rousi “Rose” Snyder, who died Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Edward L Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev.
